Workspace Principles

Notion is an intentionally opinionated tool. Based on our experience, this is the most optimal workspace starting point for a small team of less than 25 team members.

Three data types

Content is stored in three types of databases

1. Fundamental → smallest units of work with distinct properties
2. Contextual → auxiliary info that enriches the fundamental content
3. Organizational → largest units of work that group content together
