The Context: Notion is a Toolbox

On the most recent Block by Block (Notion user conference), Notion Founder & CEO, Ivan Zhao, described the company’s mission as follows:

Our mission is to make software toolmaking ubiquitous. Our goal is to help every person and every team on the planet to use software that best fits their needs.

This means that Notion is not a tool — it’s a toolbox.

Tiago researched the concept of Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) for 10 years before turning his expertise into an outstanding course and, now, a best-selling book.

One of the key components in BASB is a simple intuitive four-part method called “CODE,”

In many ways, HiveMind is a remix of Tiago’s excellent work. We owe him a debt of gratitude for propelling PKM to new heights and inspiring us.
